The Zephaniah Newsletter is currently celebrating its’ first year of circulation! We’re so grateful to God for being with us every step of the way! Spreading the gospel through this medium has been a labor of love and we rejoice at all who have taken the time to read what we have put out on the internet. There is so much worldly news shown on the internet and we take pride in that we have contributed to the true gospel. We pray that the words we’ve shared has brought you peace in the midst of chaos, answers in the midst of questioning and confirmation in the midst of doubt.
While we are in the process of reaching out to others around the world through our newsletter, we still march forward with ensuring that we spread the gospel at home as well. Recently, we have re-launched Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings starting at 10 AM for adults and children. In this resurgence, we hope to provide people an opportunity to dive deeper into God’s word. Reading and having an understanding of the bible can be a daunting task to some people, but through bible study, one could get a grasp on the scripture like never before. Bible study also affords a person an opportunity to be surrounded by others who have a thirst for knowledge as well. There is nothing like being around like-minded people, looking to get closer to God. We gather for concerts, so let us gather when it concerns our soul and work to acquire the knowledge needed to make it to the kingdom of heaven.
Along with gaining knowledge for our own soul’s sake, we also gain knowledge of God so that we can share it with the world. In the book of Jeremiah chapter 20 he described the Word of God in his heart like fire shut up in his bones and he was weary of holding it back. We have to have the same earnest desire and willingness to gain knowledge and share it with others. We truly want to see everyone be able to grasp the genuineness of God and the urgency in which we must receive Him in our hearts now. God is beckoning onto His children to be made anew in Him. The time is now for us to prepare our hearts, minds, and souls while we are still in a relatively comfortable place on this earth. If we are careful to watch and listen to the things of this world we can clearly be alerted to the enemy’s attempt to move us into a state of death and despair.
We would like to ask our readers the same question that is brought up in Matthew 16:26, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” We assume nothing when it comes to your personal walk with God, it is a journey one must take on their own. However, we invite you to do some introspection. Our souls are invaluable items that satan works hard to get us to sell to him for cheap. There are some individuals willing to exchange their souls for money, attention, notoriety, assumed freedom, accolades, socioeconomic status and much more. And if you have lacked the aforementioned at crucial junctures of your life then we know that it could be enticing to have the opportunity to receive these things. However, dear brothers and sisters, each and every one of these items we mentioned are temporary, earthly tokens that we cannot take with us to use as currency in exchange for a place in heaven.
Our willingness to testify about God’s goodness and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ is worth more to God than any amount of money we accumulate. So let us work hard to be bold and confident in what we do for Him. What we gain from spreading the gospel carries us through our earthly life and will eventually lift us up to our heavenly home. If you feel hesitant and apprehensive about being able to testify to others, we ask you to remember that the first one you could testify to is our Father God. He would love nothing more than to hear about how you feel about Him and what He has done to better your life.Yes, start with God and eventually you will be like Jeremiah, unable to be quiet about His goodness. Push forward Saints, and spread the goodness of God!
Dear reader, we would like to leave you with a prayer:
Heavenly Father God, we are grateful for this full year of our newsletter reaching out to the hearts of Your children. We are grateful for Your child who is currently reading this newsletter and we pray that You bless them immensely for their dedication. Lord, we ask that if we lack knowledge that You lead us to the Word and give us the wisdom we need. We ask that if we are insecure that You pour into us an extra boost of confidence. We ask, Father, that if we have been seeking earthly validation that You put us on the right track to only look for You. Guide us in the way in which we should go. We ask all of these things in Your Son, Jesus name we pray. Amen.
